Hi Scotty here, i was born in Edinburgh Scotland on 27/6/1935,i'm 1 of a family of 4, 1 elder brother,1 elder sister and a younger sister,my mum was a housewife,while dad was a regular in the army,In 1940,mum and us 4 kids were bombed out of our house,dad was serving overseas at the time.i had a good up bringing,life boys,chior boy,boys brigade,a drummer in the pipe band.Attended primary and high school.my first job assistant confectioner in a rock factory [9 months]then 20 years with the inland revenue, 4 years with the prison service. At 18 i served with the Royal Scots Greys,Pipe Band 2years national service,14 months in Barce North Africa,with the band we toured the middle east on the H.M.S. Eagle and H.M.S.Bermuda.we had another tour with the Ford Motor Comp. Holland/Belgium. we also took part in the York city,White city and the Edinburgh Tattoos.  I also served 13 years in the T.A. as drummer then a Drum/Major.In 1958 i married DOT,we have 3 wonderful children who are married adults now,we also have 5 gradchildren.we moved to New Plymouth,N.Z in 1974 with our 3 children.Ididn't start singing until i was 60 i joined a country music club, got guest spots at other clubs and i entertain at old folks homes. i wrote my first song in 1958,didn't start writing again until 2002.Dot also sings. i would like to hear comments on my songs  good or bad,but not my singing as i don't rate myself as a singer.
